Who We Are?
Our Mission
We strive for a better environment through active management and restoration of degraded ecosystems by replanting and reducing pressure on land and building climate resilient projects.
Our Vision
To nurture a value-driven society that actively champions people, climate action, and nature conservation for a sustainable future.
History of Plus One Tree Initiative
Founded by Bennnittes Kipyegon, Plus One Tree Initiative began in the dry region of Baringo, where poverty and climate change threaten local livelihoods. Driven by a passion to empower his community, Bennnittes aims to restore the environment and build resilience against climate impacts, fostering a sustainable future for all. Through tree planting and ecosystem restoration, the initiative provides local communities with tools for climate adaptation and environmental stewardship. By working together, they combat land degradation and protect biodiversity. Plus One Tree is a movement for change, bridging nature, people, and climate action.
